About the Reserve

Klaasvoogds-Logo

Nestled in the foothills of the Langeberg mountains, in the picturesque Robertson Wine Valley, is situated 10km east of Robertson along Route 62, the Klaasvoogds Game Reserve is less than 2 hours drive from Cape Town.

The Klaasvoogds Game Reserve offers affordable family-oriented game drives.

This small (900ha) reserve has a wide range of antelope including Eland, Gemsbok, Kudu, Rooi Hartebeest, Black Wildebeest, Bontebok, Burchell's Zebra and much more.
Vegetation endemic to the region is slowly being rehabilitated and indigenous antelope have been re-introduced in an attempt to restore this land to its former glory. The flora comprises mainly Renosterbos, Pioniersbos, Spekboomveld and Cape Mountain Fynbos as well as thorn trees and wild olive trees.

Guided Game Drives

Klaasvoogds offer affordable family-oriented guided game drives in our open viewing vehicle.
Our drives are approx. 2.5 hours in duration and include a refreshment stop where we offer cool drinks in summer and tea/coffee in the winter months.
This opportunity also allows guests to stretch their legs and have a chat with Andre, the game guide.

Animals on the Reserve

Animals Commonly Spotted

Black Wildebeest, Bontebok, Cape Hare, Duiker, Eland, Gemsbok, Kudu, Leopard Tortoise, Red Hartebeest, Springbok and Burchells Zebra.

Birds Commonly Spotted

Black Harrier, Ostrich, Grey Heron, Hadeda Ibis, Egyptian Goose, Yellowbilled Duck, Secretary Bird, Blackshouldered Kite, Black Eagle, Martial Eagle and Jackal Buzzard.
